I know it's been a long time since I have posted! I will try to play catch up this week. Today we all went pumpkin picking. Peyton had so much fun hanging out with Aidan, Aunt Suzi, Uncle Neal and Nana. Peyton has a lil crush on Uncle Neal! It was so nice out and Peyton had so much energy as usual. She is getting so big and does not realize she is only 2 and a half. We swear she is going on 30! She is too smart for her own good and gives us a run for our money!

Every summer we go to the Zoo with our favorite people. Last summer we went much more than this summer. It is much harder now that Aidan and Peyton are so wild! We truly love the time we get to spend with Suzi and Aidan, and especially Debbie (Mama Bergh). I can only hope that Aidan and Peyton can be as close as Suzi and I are. I just adore her and value our friendship!

We're BACK! We had such an amazing time on vacation! Peyton was so super excited everyday! We went to the beach, hung by the pool, went for ice cream everyday and just spent time as a family. We had so much fun with Suzi, Neal and Aidan as well as Neal's amazing family. We lived in this HUGE house for a week, just feet from the ocean. P was so good in the car, the 12 hour drive - each way! She was such a trooper and such a big girl! The look on her face everyday made everything so worth it and made Matt and I realize how amazing our life is! I have SOOOOO many pics to share but here are some of my pretty girl!

I am so proud to say Peyton is now sleeping in her big girl bed! Well it's just her crib turned into a daybed - but she LOVES IT! She never gets out and loves to get in it at night. I was thinking it was going to be a scene from Nanny 911 when we took the front of the crib off but she just jumped in laughing. She has slept in it since Saturday night and we are so proud of her. She is such a lil lady now! She is looking forward to our vacation and so are we!

I am happy to announce that I am in the middle of finishing my WEBSITE! FINALLY! It is a lot of work and I just don't seem to have enough time to get it done between sessions and Peyton. I really can't wait for it to go live! I am also doing a complete business makeover - in the middle of a new logo as well! This is a very exciting time for me!!!

It is our THREE year anniversary! Everyone asks me if I can believe it has been 3 years - I tell them it feels like 20! haha! There is something so special about Matt and I - and it is something that many people might not get but we do. I love him with all my heart and soul, and with all that we have been through - I just love him even more! He is my Best Friend. Nothing ever seems to come easy but we have learned to balance everything.

Operation Potty Training: COMPLETE!

I keep forgetting to post this! Peyton is 100% potty trained! She has been almost potty trained for months now with an occasional accident. But she has not had an accident going on 1 1/2 month and has not worn a pull up in 4 months! We told her once she was done training , she could pick presents out at the Disney store (AKA Mimi Store - what she calls the Little Mermaid). We went this weekend and she did not want to leave! We also promised to take her to the Aquarium, which we plan on doing in the next few weeks! We are so proud of her!!!!!

HOT HOT HOT! That is the only way to describe the weather this weekend! We are in the 90's! We haven't opened the pool yet so we took out P's crabby pool and hung out. Peyton had such a blast in the pool and in her ladybug sprinkler. Matt will be opening the pool tonight so we can go in it next weekend. Of course we went to see the ducks again since Peyton is OBSESSED with them. We hiked along the trail - in 90 degree weather!!!- that's what you get for marrying a fitness buff. I just wanted to take a nap! haha. After sitting outside all day - P and Matt got tan and I am still a ghost! It was too hot to sit still!

Hey guys! I know I have been MIA but I have been super swamped! I wanted to fill you in on some of the things going on lately. Peyton is just growing and learning faster then we can keep up with. She is seriously the funniest little girl! She learned how to play tag and I swear I heard her and Matt say "You're It" back and forth for 20 minutes! She has memorized the Three Little Pigs and reads it along with us every night - how cute is that! She is singing so many songs all by herself and can say the entire alphabet! She also is learning to test everything! She will tilt her head to the side and in a high voice, ask for something she knows she can't have and hopes the cute face will win! Sorry I have no pictures to share! I will have to take some this weekend. I was out east all day today taking pictures for work. These houses were so amazing! I am an editing zombie lately and need a break! Hope everyone is doing well. We are looking forward to the weekend!!

Sunday we went to the pond with Sue, Neal and Aidan. We had such a good time. We brought bread so we can feed the ducks. Peyton loved feeding them until I got bit by one. Then Uncle Neal thought he could teach all the ducks to sit and stay - it was a good laugh! Peyton wore the shirt Uncle Neal bought for her from his fire department - even though she thought it was a superman shirt! We took a walk on the board walk and saw more ducks, swans and turtles. It was one of the best mornings! We plan on doing it every weekend. Peyton loves spending time with the Harris'! Sue would not let me take my camera on our walk so I could enjoy myself and I must say - it was the best! I did take it out at the very end. I am glad I had it because we have a new family picture (thanks to Neal)....the last one was from last summer when Sue took it! I just love them all - they are family to us and I treasure our friendship!

Today was "Crazy Hair Day" at school! I probably could have just let Matt do her hair - because some days that is crazy enough - hahaha - but I decided to make her hair really fun! A little late .... but Happy Mother's day to all you Moms out there. I had the best Mother's Day ever! I woke up to a bubbly Peyton! I got the biggest hug with the cutest "Happy Mother's Day Mommy!" She proudly gave me the picture she made for me at school. She got me the most beautiful roses and the Queen B charm for my bracelet (notice it is next to my pineapple charm - wink wink!). She also picked out a candle for me - Matt let her smell all the Yankee candles and she was excited to pick out her favorite one - it really was so damn cute! It means so much when it is truly from her! We had our family over for breakfast and it was a lot of fun. We relaxed for the rest of the day. It truly was a great day for me.... I got to spend it with my two favorite people!

Peyton has to have the cutest laugh in the world! She laughs at almost everything we do (I guess it helps to have insane parents!). Her laugh is infectious! She also is learning to lie to get what she wants. Even though we know she is doing it - sometimes its just so cute! She plays us hard - Daddy more! She will talk in a high pitched voice and wiggle her finger all cute to get what she wants. She is such a big girl, she is no longer sleeping in pull ups and has been having hardly any accidents (I may have just jinxed myself!) We just love her and eat her up all the time!

Can you really believe it? My baby girl is 2! It feels like just yesterday that Matt and I were up all night rocking, changing and feeding our little baby! Now we are always running to the potty, running after her in stores and laughing at everything that comes out of her little mouth! She is simply the best – there is no other way to describe her! She just brightens up every room and melts your heart. We took her to her 2 year check up and her Dr was so impressed with her. Peyton thanked her every time she did something – haha! She told us she is advanced and we hope she continues to thrive the way she is.
After her Birthday Party, I was putting her to bed and she said “Love you Mommy” and thanked me for her party. After the tears dried up I was reminded of why we struggle and work so hard. In those big brown eyes – she made it all OK! I realized that I may not be Mommy of the year to anyone else – but to her I am, as is Matt Daddy of the year. And that is all that matters. We do what we do for her and at the end of every day – she is happy. Then I know we are doing a good job. Being a parent is the hardest job – but it is the most rewarding job. I am so proud of my little, big girl

It's Good To be TWO!: The details

Our baby girl is no longer a baby! Saturday she was officially TWO (even though she will swear to anyone she is FOUR!) She woke up to a decorated house and she went nuts! It was like Christmas morning to her. She was so excited, she was jumping up and down....made my day! We then had all of our close family and friends over to celebrate. Peyton requested Pizza and cupcakes - so that is what we had. She was a little reluctant in the beginning but as soon as Mattie - her cousin - showed up, she was off and running! They ran around and played so well together. She then opened all her gifts - what a task! She got so many great things....she is well loved! She was so excited when we sang Happy Birthday to her - her little smile melted my heart! She LOVED her cupcakes and they were a big hit! She was so well behaved and acted like such a big girl - it reminded me of how old she is getting! It was a GREAT day and we all enjoyed ourselves - even I didn't sit behind a camera all day!

After a busy weekend....we are all exhausted! Peyton has refused to nap all weekend, leading us to get nothing done around this house. She must not have gotten the memo that we are having a party for her this weekend and need to CLEAN! Saturday we went to visit our favorite people - Suzi, Neal and Aidan. Peyton was so great with Shamrock, their Dalmatian, and I was very impressed! She played with all of Aidan's toys while I took some pics (before Aunt Suzi killed me!). We then went on the new swing set they have. I think Suzi is still recovering from all the climbing! Sunday I took Peyton to the Gap outlet to buy her clothes for her Bday while Matt did the yard. This kid has to have the best wardrobe! She then begged me to take her to Target! How funny is she? Still ... no nap! So I am off to bed but wanted to share the only 2 pics I edited. I can't believe my baby is turning 2!!! She looks like such a big girl in this new pic. Also - don't you just love baby drool??

Someone got spoiled for Easter! I think I got a little carried away this year! This picture doesn't even do it justice - she got TONS of stuff! Peyton woke up so excited to see if the Easter Bunny came. We put "bunny paw prints" on the carpet - but Matt must have thought it was a mammoth bunny that came to our house with the size he did! Peyton was amazed that the Easter Bunny left a trail. She found all of her Easter eggs and played with all of her new toys. We all had a great day ..... Happy Easter!

Saturday we colored eggs and had a blast! Peyton was so into what colors she wanted and helping us out. I think she got some ideas from the Easter Beagle because she tried to bite into the eggs with the shell on! She was so proud of herself. I love that she is so excited about holidays now...makes it that much better!

Skinny Cribbing...

Peyton has a new obsession with getting undressed when she goes to bed. For the past 4 nights we have found her naked in her crib. Sometimes she is sleeping, other times laughing at us. We even got her dressed while she was sleeping - and in her sleep she undressed again while we watched! I now have to watch the video monitor to see what she is doing and run in as soon as the shirt comes off. She laughs and tells me she wants to be naked! There is never shortage of laughs in our house and we love her for it! We had parent-teacher conferences last week and were so happy with what we heard. She is doing more than anyone in her class! Her teacher said she was the only one that didn't have a list of things to work on. Yes it sounds like I am bragging because I am! It was such a moment for Matt and I. To hear our little girl is "the smartest and funniest kid in the class" should make us feel good!

Yes she is in a bowl - Yes she is on my kitchen table and this continued for quite some time!

Aunt Suzi bought her this umbrella. Thanks to her we now have many years of bad luck!

This weekend I finally put together the easel Nana bought Peyton for Christmas - after Peyton bugged me! It is such a hit - she loves it! BUT she refused to wear pants while she colored. I went back to see baby Zoe and Max this week. I haven't been having much luck with Zoe wanting to sleep for me or sit still but I was still able to capture some good ones. I haven't been able to work on most of them but these are my favs! I am getting used to going there every weekend! I think they are getting sick of seeing me! Once again, the Gribbin house was chaotic! Matt came down with the worst flu ever! He was so sick and we were all praying no one else would get it. Our Valentine's Day consisted of Matt coming out of the bedroom for a 1/2 hour to try and eat some dinner and back to bed. So Peyton and I just hung out. Saturday we stayed in our PJ's all day - it really was the best! I don't even think I combed my hair - haha! We had grilled cheese and tomato soup (which is a new fav of P - she slurps it all up!). Sunday we relaxed as well. Matt and Peyton were in the basement and as Peyton is walking up the stairs, I heard her counting. She is really good at counting to 5, but she went all the way up to 10! We are really good at teaching Peyton manners and it is really paying off. This weekend- Matt sneezes. Peyton: "Bless you Daddy" Matt: "Thank You" Peyton : "Your Welcome Daddy". She will get mad if she says Bless you or Thank You and you don't respond. It is so cute! At the food store Sunday they had the ready made cookies with bunnies on them. Peyton insisted on baking them in her own oven. After a little fight - I gave in. She put two unbaked cookies in her little oven (after licking them of course!) and kept checking if they were baking. We sat down for dinner and I snuck two baked cookies in the pan. After dinner she went to check to see if her cookies baked - and they did. She was so excited and surprised! She came over to us and said "I baked these bunnies". God only knows what she will try to "bake" in there now!

We are so excited that the Giants won this weekend! It was the best Super Bowl I have ever seen! Peyton wore her Giants sweat shirt and was all ready for the game. She didn't get into the game until she had to go to bed (of course) - then it was all "GOOOOO GIANTS" "GO GO GO GO". Can you tell she knows EXACTLY where to get her Daddy? Needless to say she did not fall asleep until after 9! Getting her to daycare was a battle for Matt but I called it the night before and he didn't want to listen - hahaha! I would love to show you pics of Peyton all ready for the big game but she still wants nothing to do with my camera! I will post later with some pics.

I have so many new pictures to share but my computer decided to flake on me! I wanted to share the few I was able to work on. Saturday Suzi and Aidan came over to visit. Peyton wasn't used to a little baby playing with her toys and getting attention from me. Once she warmed up she laid with Aidan and giggled as he giggled. After they left, she was so sad! She refused to go to sleep in her crib so she fell asleep on me. I decided to take some pictures. Of course, I then woke her up by accident! Happy Birthday to me! Everyone keeps asking how old I am and when I tell them they say "Oh one more year to 30". 30 is really nothing when you are married and have a kid - right? Well I am enjoying my day with Matt and P. Right now they are baking me a cake - a tradition Matt started when we first met. I look forward to it each year!

Matt and P made me the best cake ever! I remember when P was born, someone told me that I will never blow out another candle or unwrap another gift - because I now have a child that will! And man were they RIGHT! Peyton cried when Matt wanted to take a pic with me wearing a birthday hat - she had to wear it! She even blew out my candles! But she did sing me happy Birthday! I can honestly say - I had the best day! Peyton was such a Mama's girl and I ate it up! We enjoyed our day together! They got me huge frames to put in the living room and I can't wait to hang them!

We had a great weekend! Saturday I was lucky to spend time with my friend Kimberly and her beautiful children, Brody and Katelyn. While I was there, Kim and I got to talking about how amazing our kids are and what a blessing they are. It really got me thinking about how truly lucky I am. Thanks Kim! Later that night, Peyton and I went shopping while Matt worked. I learned EXACTLY what a temper tantrum meant! I would have given her ANYTHING just to make her happy (and to make people stop staring!). We survived though! I am learning how to handle these situations without making more tears. I must admit, the anxiety almost made me pass out! I had to call Suzi to laugh about it in the car - and also to let her know what she has to look forward to! Sunday we enjoyed a nice relaxing day. Matt and Peyton played dress up - no this is not a typo! Matt will be wishing he didn't participate when he sees these pics! We made tacos and watched Nemo - Peyton's favorite things! This has sure been a busy and rough few weeks! I will try to fill you in! We had our chance to say good bye to Nana G this weekend. Matt and I were home today with the nasty stomach bug! It feels like we can not catch a break. Peyton is turning into such a big girl! She is now in big girl panties and hasn't had an accident in 4 days!!!!! We can hardly believe it ourselves! She even wakes up dry in the morning. Matt said maybe we will get her ears pierced when she is completely trained but we might wait some more. We went to pick Peyton up from school today and when we got in the car she said "I missed you Mommy & Daddy". Of course we melted!!! Her vocabulary is amazing. She is now in the 2 year old room in school and the ONLY one potty trained (and the youngest in the class!). We are so proud of her and eat her up every chance we get!

Today Nana G passed away and we are so sad. Nana was such an amazing person. Not many people you can love from the moment you meet them, but you instantly loved Nana. She was always so kind, witty, sharp, funny and most of all sincere. She never wanted the spotlight and was always content just being surrounded by loved ones. I am crying while writing this because actually typing it makes me realize she is no longer with us. I always admired her strength. She had been through so much, yet she never let on if things were tough. I always loved the talks we had and the honesty she had. We will miss her Old Navy colored flip flops, her plaid shirts, her matching purses, her Ruby car and her slick jokes. Most of all we will miss her smile in the room. All I can hope is that she knows how much we all love her and how she has touched everyone she met. I thank God that she was able to know my daughter and love her, as Peyton loves her. I only wish she knew how much she meant to me personally as I considered her my own Grandmother. I know she is with Nana and Nani and watching over all of us.

Nana - we love you and will miss you always! We cherish the memories and are better people for knowing you. You were truly a blessing in our lives, truly! Hugs and Kisses!!!!

Peyton loves to wear the apron I bought her. Every time I open the closet door she asks to cook. Since it was Christmas, we wanted to bake for Santa! Christmas Eve we had so much fun. Peyton loved baking for the first time. We let her mix everything and decorate the cookies. She then patiently watched as the cookies baked. As soon as they came out she blew on them to cool them off. She was so excited to taste her cookies. We all ate the cookies and watched Christmas movies. Peyton then left some of her treats for Santa. Santa stopped by later that night and Peyton personally handed him one of her cookies. He loved them! They were so good, a sleep walking elf had quite a few that night! We can make some goooood cookies!

Another busy weekend! Peyton and I went shopping Saturday with Nana while Matt worked. Nana drove one of those motorized wheel chairs and drove us NUTS! But we got lots of good stuff! Sunday morning we went to cut down a Christmas tree. We were NOT prepared for the ACRES and ACRES of trees! We walked through lots of mud and branches. Matt was waiting for the "Griswald Tree" moment, when the light shined down on the perfect tree.....but a million miles later - no shining light! We finally gave up and picked the best tree we could find. We wanted something really tall but the one we got fits perfectly. Peyton had a blast! She was yelling "SANTAAAAAA" through the farm as everyone laughed! Notice how Peyton is behind the tree as Matt is cutting it down - PARENTS OF THE YEAR! Hahaha! And yes - I was right next to her when she held the saw (don't call CPS!) We then got to ride a big tractor with our tree back to the car and she could not stop laughing! We put the tree up and Peyton was so excited. She danced around the living room yelling "YEAAAAAH DADDY" and clapping. She kept telling him "Daddy I cut". She really thinks she cut the tree down! We had such a great night and a great weekend! I have been working so hard lately that it is now 12:30 am and I am still trying to design our Christmas card. Overwhelmed is an understatement these days!

Today we had our first snow! I woke up to "SNOOOOOOOOOW Mommy - SNOW". I was able to get her to wait until I really wanted to get out of bed. Once I did wake up - we were out the door in 5 minutes! We went to the river. Peyton was a bit overwhelmed with the cold. Once she touched the snow she went "WOOO COOOOOOOOLD". Then we went back to the house to warm up. We layed in front of the fire for HOURS! Peyton fell asleep on me for an hour and half - she never does this! It was the best! Then we decorated for Christmas. I will add more pic tomorrow - photoshop won't work for me tonight - ugh!

This weekend was so much fun! Saturday we had Aidan's Christening (pics to come). Peyton was a big hit at the party! She ran all around with her balloon and made new friends! Sunday we did so many fun things. We went to take pictures for our Christmas card...I got some good ones! Then we played in the leaves while Matt attempted to rake them all up. Peyton had so much fun. We then lit a fire and layed around singing songs and reading books. Peyton likes to fill in the blanks on her favorite songs. We are really looking forward to Christmas! Peyton keeps asking "Santa bring toys?".

Peyton is starting to be more like Mommy everyday ....... she always has something to say! We are so amazed at how quickly she can pick up on things and store so much information. She knows her colors and points them out on everything. She also loves working with flash cards. She asks for kisses and hugs - which makes us melt! She is so expressive and happy all the time. She just discovered Christmas music and asks us to dance. We sing songs together. We will leave out words and she fills in the blanks. Potty training is going well - hopefully there is an end to all of this! Today we went for a walk in her wagon and all she kept saying was "Go Daddy - woooooooo" "Again Again Again!!!!!!" It was so cold but she didn't let that stop her.

Yup - she was a ladybug again! Yes mommy is obsessed with ladybugs, but Peyton is so into bugs lately - she points them out all day long. She had her parade at school, where she refused to wear her head piece! There were 2 other lady bugs in her class, but you guessed it - she was the cutest! We didn't do much trick or treating since it got chilly, but we went to see Aunt Dora across the street. Peyton LOVES her yard and all there is to see. She would only say treat (no trick) because she's no fool! hahaha! She was such a good girl all day we gave her some treats later that night. We love our lil bug!

Well Nana Sue has done it this time! She fell off a ladder and broke her leg in more spots then we can count! She has been in the hospital since Wednesday night and is going in for her 2nd surgery Tuesday. Poor thing is in so much pain and is so upset. It will be a long haul for her rehabilitation as she will need more surgeries after this one. We wish her well and know she will be dancing again soon! Love you! XOXOX (Thank God there is Internet in the hospital, or she may go insane!)

We were a little late with Peyton's 18 month check up. Peyton now weighs 28lbs 10 oz , is 33 1/2 tall and her head is 19.5 inches! YES it is that big (off the charts still!). The Dr said she is very tall for her age and right on target with her weight. The Dr. was amazed with all of Peyton's words and how many words she can put together. She said she is "by far ahead of her age" and we are so proud! She told us to keep up the good work!

Today we went pumpkin picking and had the best day! We were determined to find a place that had a huge field of pumpkins, so we eneded up in Calverton. Nana and Aunt Maura came along and laughed as Peyton was determined to find the "great pumpkin". We had such a fun time as a family. Peyton loved walking up and down the trails and talking to all the pumpkins. When we got home Peyton helped us put all the pumpkins in front of the house. She really enjoyed herself and it made our day!

Saturday was Matt's competition in Brooklyn. After months of training, perseverance and determination - the day came that we were all waiting for. Matt placed 2nd in the Heavy weight division!!! He is getting so much better on stage - he actually looked a little cocky! It was so hard to cheer, shout and take pictures at the same time - so the pics aren't the best! But these pics show that I am one lucky girl! We are so proud of him and can't wait until the next show - well maybe after some pizza for dinner - and maybe a brownie or two!

Nothing exciting to report. Peyton is doing well. She is getting a new teacher this week and we hope it goes well, she will adjust just fine....but we will miss Miss. Paula. Peyton has been all giggles all weekend and talking more and more. Saturday I took her to the outlets with my Mom and we had a great time. She took her into the toy store where Peyton wanted 5 babies but Nana convinced her one was enough - thank God! Then she bought her an entire new wardrobe! I went to the city Saturday night for Melissa's bachelorette party, so waking up to "MOMMMMMMMMMY" Sunday morning wasn't a treat - haha! We finally got her a new Nemo (she ripped off his fin) and she was very happy! It was nice to have a relaxing family weekend - sometimes we get so caught up in everything, we don't get to enjoy each other.

We had such a great week and weekend! Peyton is doing so great on the potty! We are so proud of her. I had to take her to the Dr this weekend to have her cough checked out (she was fine) and the Dr was amazed at all she knew and how she was going on the potty. She was so impressed with how Matt and I are raising her! Made us feel good! We went back to the Holtsville zoo this weekend. Daddy surprised us by staying home from the gym and taking us! Peyton was so excited! She was even more excited to see that Aunt Suzi was there with Aidan! She got such a kick out of tickling his toes. We are starting to think she has a thing for feet! She tickles our feet as we lay on the couch - we have to pretend to laugh. She will break out into the cutest squeal of a laugh! It goes on for a good 45 minutes. She is still on her Little Mermaid kick! Today she filled up her potty sticker chart and we went to the Disney Store. She didn't want a Mimi (mermaid) doll - instead she wanted another, bigger, Nemo. She was so excited and hugged it all the way home! After dinner we all watched football together, she wore her Brady Quinn jersey. Whenever there was a good play she would yell "WOOOOOOOOO" - she made Daddy proud! She is having a word explosion and keeps us laughing with all that comes out of her mouth!

Yesterday was Peyton's cardiologists appointment. Peyton had an echo and an ultra sound. She was not a fan of the echo. She screamed bloody murder trying to pull off all the wires. Of course Mommy cried right along with her! It was so upsetting and my heart broke! Then we were off to get the ultra sound. That went better! The tech was the sweetest thing ever and sang tons of songs and told Peyton her heart was really Elmo! All said and done - she is in perfect health!!!! The Dr met with us and told me it may come and go but she is "too healthy to be in this office". Peyton gave everyone a high five on the way out. We then met Daddy at Toys R Us to get the mermaid doll I had promised her. We are so happy! I guess when you have a big heart like she does, it needs to work a little harder! Peyton is so lucky to have so many people that love her, the phone rang off the hook last night! XOXOXO from all of us!

I think Matt and I spent the entire day laughing at our strong willed, independent, character of a daughter we have! She just never seizes to amaze us! She climbs over, in, out of everything in her path. She randomly comes out with new words and new faces. She thinks its funny to tickle her own feet. Aunt Maura and Uncle John came over Saturday night before we all went out to dinner and bought Peyton an Elmo potty - to congratulate her for learning to go on the potty. Peyton thinks her other potty seat has to go on this potty too! We got her training pants but that doesn't seem to work well! We are still working on it. It is amazing how strong she is! She picked up the hugest water bottle and walked around the house (see pics below - sorry for the crappy pics). Peyton got her very own fishy this weekend - she calls her shishy! She has a little bowl with all pink rocks and pink flowers! She loves her Shishy! I think we have watched the Little Mermaid 20 times this weekend - she can't get enough!

Saturday morning we met Aunt Suzi, Uncle Neal, Grandma Bergh and baby Aidan at the Holtsville Ecology Park to see the animals. Of course Zoe came along too! Peyton LOOOOOVED the big bear! The sign clearly said "Please don't yell at the bear - it scares him" but that didn't stop her! She kept yelling "BEAAAAAAAR". As soon as she saw the cows she let out a huge MOOOO and we all laughed! She quacked at all the ducks and waved and said Hi to everyone. She ran like mad through the entire place! She finally got to meet Aidan and kept saying baby and laughing. She tickled his feet and wanted to jump into his stroller! Peyton got to spend time with her Aunt Suzi and she was so happy! We had a great day and hope we can do it again soon!

Labor Day Weekend

Thank God for three day weekends! Saturday we went to Aunt Patti and Uncle Joel's for a BBQ. Peyton had so much fun swimming and playing with Maddie and Ella. Peyton went under water for the first time! They were all over the place all day - we had a great day! Sunday we took it easy and tried to get things done for Matt's first day back to school tomorrow. On the way home from shopping, Peyton told us she had to go potty - so as soon as we got home she went on her potty. That was the third time this weekend she went - we were so excited! Our neighbors told us this morning they heard us screaming about the potty yesterday! haha! We can't believe the summer is over and we still have no tan!

So you said it couldn't be done, that I was insane for thinking a 17 month old can go on the potty - well SHE DIIIIIIID! I have been talking to her about the potty for a week now and she keeps saying it. Yesterday she took her diaper off and said "boppy" (potty to her). This morning I decided to get a little seat to go on the potty. The entire way home from the store she was talking about her potty. As soon as we walked in she took the seat into the bathroom. I sat her on the seat and away she went! I almost died! We are so proud of her and hope she keeps it up! Here are some pics - YES I took pics! She is lucky we didn't have the video camera out - oh how her future husband would love to see that! Don't you love her bed head!!

So Matt has off the ENTIRE summer and waits until two weeks before School starts to paint my living room (typical Matt!) I feel like we just moved in - my house is a HUGE mess! I have my couches in the middle of the room, dust everywhere and a One year old that gets into EVERYTHING! I am so happy with the way it is turning out but it is a long process! The people who lived in the house before us painted all the mouldings the same as the walls so it makes our job so much harder to paint them white! Anyway, Peyton had a great weekend - sorry no pics! She says a new word every minute it seems. She had her Rubella and Chicken pox shot this weekend and the poor thing lost her mind! So what did we do....off to the toy store we went! She finally got her Nemo doll and hasn't put it down since. The Dr. found that she had a heart murmur and we need to take her to the cardiologist this week. She hopes that it is a growth issue and not something to be concerned with, so we will see. I will let you all know how it goes!

What happened to my baby girl - she turned 18 over night! She has the strongest personality! She is starting to show and understand so many emotions. She is extremely strong willed and so loving! She has turned into such a great listener. She loves to dance in her car seat - Justin Timberlake is her favorite - she shakes her huggies! She is so into her babies that we can't even go down a doll aisle in any store. Saturday we got suckered in to another Cabbage Patch - but she loves her! Her 'babies' are fed all day long with there 'ba ba's' and have their own crib next to hers. She is such a great eater these days! She is IN LOVE with green beans! She even ate a frozen one the other day! She has to have them with each meal! She loves her Bananas still (nanas) and her Apples (opple). Her belly is the proof that this little girl can eat! She loves to open the door (oh yes - she learned how to open the front and side door!) to either let Hailey in or out - hey at least the dog will listen to someone! At night we watch TV while she drinks her milk and she loves hanging out in the new basement. She has become obsessed with Nemo (memo) and Elmo (melmo). At night we tell her to say night night to whoever she is watching, and she says night night and turns the TV off. She goes and gets her blankie, walks upstairs into her room and puts her baby to sleep - and then it is her turn! This makes us so happy - you have no idea! She is using more words everyday - she is quite the chatter box! Her new words this weekend are Fishy, Flower, Oside (outside), Mommy do, Pa (for Grandpa) and tickle tickle (when she tickles my feet - so funny!). She is starting to put words together - last week she repeated "Love you Mommy" - yes I could have died!

Today I went to visit Suzi and Aidan....how I have missed them! Mama and Papa B were there as well, their first time seeing their new baby grandson! I was so excited to see them! They have decided to be Georgia Peaches NO MORE and to be good ole NEW YORKERS again! We are so excited to have them back! I love them as if they were my own parents! Papa B finally got his NY Pizza from his favorite place, Mama Lombardi's- he was in heaven - haha! Suzi made me brownies (the right way) and we had a really great night. We had such a great weekend! Saturday we went to the beach and collected lots of sea shells. Peyton did not want to sit still at the beach though, so it wore us all out. We then went to Sweet Mama's for dinner where Peyton wanted nothing to do with food and just wanted to talk to everyone and give kisses to Daddy. Sunday we decided to go spend the day by Aunt Patti's pool since no one was home. We had such a relaxing day. We swam for hours! Peyton loves to blow bubbles in the water and lick it all up. Daddy likes to splash Peyton in the face and she bursts out laughing! When we got home we had a BBQ and Peyton ate an ENTIRE cheesburger! She acted like we hadn't fed her all day! Our little baby is growing up so fast! She is learning so many more words and is a little chatter box. Her new favorite word is "Bubble" (when she finds time in between saying Mommy and Daddy a million times a day!). She is so good at listening now! She will put whatever she takes out back in its place. She also gives lots and lots of hugs and kisses as well as blowing kisses! She loves to say HI to everyone and also wave bye. But the most exciting thing she has learned is all her body parts! She knows her eyes, hair (head), mouth, nose, ears, hands and toes! It is so amazing to watch her learn everyday! We are completely in love with her! Today she started a new 'school' and she was AMAZING! She didn't cry once, not even when she was dropped off. She played with her new friends and had lunch with them. We are sad to leave all of her other friends, but most of all - Miss Carly! Carly is Peyton's BF and side kick and we will continue to see her out of school! She is a big part of our lives and we miss her already! We also miss all of her teacher, Miss Patty, Miss Wanda and Miss Karen. Peyton learned so much there!

Welcome to the world....Aidan Quinn Harris

Today Suzi gave birth to the most adorable little baby boy - Aidan Quinn! Sue was in labor all day Friday into Saturday and had Aidan at 10:30 Saturday morning. I went out to help Sue move back into her newly renovated home Friday and it turned into a big Labor party! But for some reason - Sue only likes to yell at ME! But I love her and was happy to be a part of it all. I am so in love with this little boy and I know he will bring such joy to Sue and Neal. He was 7.5 lbs and 19.5 inches. He looks like a mini Neal! Peyton can't wait to meet her future husband! I wasn't able to get many good pics but I am going out there this week (hopefully - if they will have me) to get some better shots! Check back!

I wanted to share with all of you what happens to Peyton when she is left alone with raviolis and sauce! She likes to rub it into her belly and laugh! Guess its the Italian in her!

"First" Hair Cut - Zippity Doos!

Peyton had her official hair cut. She got to sit in a Jeep and watch the wiggles. She had a little trim which made her hair so curly! They even put product in her hair (which of course Mommy bought). Peyton was a good girl. She tried to steal the comb and clips from the lady cutting her hair, it was so funny!! She was given a certificate along with her hair in a little bag.

15 Months

Peyton is now 15 months old!!!! Dr said she is doing great! She is in the 75% for her height and weight but her big ole head is off the charts! I think she gets that from her Daddy! She didn't get any shots because they want her to recover a little longer from her Roseola. Here are the stats!

Height: 31"

Weight: 25lbs. 12oz. (can you imagine what she would've been if she didn't get sick!)

Words: Dada, Daddy, Mama, Mommy, Hailey, Nana, Nana (banana), Bubble, Cracker, Baby, Bye Bye, Hi, Night Night, Anna, Izzy, Anda (for Miss Wanda), Yummy.

She is doing so many great things. She is learning so much everyday and we are having so much fun with her! She still has a huge personality and is very affectionate to Mommy and Daddy!

I know I am so behind on good pics - I haven't really been able to work with my camera. I really hope to get back into it soon! I miss it! Here are some quick ones - but nothing special (I mean with the photos - of course P is special!)

Baby Ella's Christening

Today we got up really early to go to Baby Ella's Christening. This was Peyton's first time in church since her own Christening (yes - we are sinners). Peyton was really great! We did have to take her out a few times because she was talking so loud - but she was really great sitting with Maddie. It was a beautiful mass. We all went back to Anne and Bo's for brunch. Peyton and Maddie played for hours. They were outside in Maddie's new Jeep and on the swings. Peyton was an ANGEL! She didn't cry or whine once. Even when Maddie went to nap, she played great by herself and was so cute! Peyton finally fell asleep on Daddy - they had a good nap! After we got home we decided to go to Sweet Mama's for dinner. We sat outside and had a great dinner. Peyton ate her entire plate and laughed and watched all the people. We had a great day!

I was able to get some pics but they are not my best work. I haven't been practicing so I am a little off but I still wanted to share this precious little angel! The colors still need to be worked with but I just never have the patience for photoshop!
