Happy.........

We started a tradition last year that we would have the bakery that made our wedding cake make our anniversary cake each year. It is a black forest cake - MY FAVORITE - and I look forward to it every year! Well this year I decided to change it up. Since my Birthday was a complete disaster (never had a cake) and Mother's and Father's Day didn't end up that great, and now with this anniversary being SHOT due to Peyton getting sick, I decided to make a cake to celebrate all that we missed! Matt got a real kick out of it when he opened the box. I know it is a bad picture - not sure what I did in photo shop!

What a looooooooong week!

This has been the longest week ever! Peyton has been sick since Sunday! We can't seem to shake this thing! She did end up breaking out into a Roseola rash but it seemed to not want to go away as quickly as her Dr said it would. She still is getting 'sick' everyday! Daddy was away and left Mommy to deal with this all on her own - but we survived! On Sunday her rash got really bad and puffy. After it settled she starting looking a little better. By dinner she was smiling. Daddy is back from Miami and seems to have gotten away with it all! We will see what tomorrow brings!

Still singing the blues!

Peyton is STILL sick! We have been stuck in this house all week and I am ready to EXPLODE! And the timing couldn't be worse! Daddy left for Miami today and we are on our own! Peyton was at least able to drink some water so that is a good sign. She has been extremely dehydrated and cranky. She is now napping so I am hoping she will be in a better mood when she wakes up.

Our trip to the ER!

Yesterday Peyton was cranky all day. Nothing seemed to make her happy for too long and she just wasn't herself. Like usual, everyone thinks I am neurotic and said she was fine. Well at 10:30 she woke up SCREAMING! I ran in there and felt that she was soooo hot. We took her temp and it was 105! I think I died and came back to life. I was so horrified that I went into complete super Mommy mode and realized we needed to get her to the hospital and fast. We were at the hospital until 4:00 AM! They really couldn't find anything wrong with her and like everything else - it must be viral! We just got back from a follow up appointment and we are still waiting on the blood work results. We are all exhausted beyond belief!!! So happy ANNIVERSARY to us! Never a dull in this house I swear!

UPDATE: 6/19/07
Peyton is still home sick.....still has a high fever (104) and still NOT SLEEPING! Which then means Mommy isn't sleeping (of course Daddy snores through it!). Her Dr thinks it is Roseola. We are waiting to see if she gets the rash. Today she seems to be a little happier so lets hope things are looking up! Thanks for all the comments wishing her well and Happy Anniversary!

2 GLORIOUS YEARS!!!!

Happy Anniversary to us! TWO YEARS!!!!!!!! All I can say is it's been great but it's been hard. No one ever tells you that life throws so many obstacles your way, and life isn't like the movies. It's hard work and sometimes not everyone will agree with what your definition of happiness is. I watched my wedding video yesterday and thought....man were we happy! I remember waking up that morning and feeling on top of the world, my bouquet was wrong, my cake was wrong but I was in heaven! I walked down that aisle to the man of my dreams and for those few moments, all your worries were gone. We promised to make each other happy for the rest of our lives. Like I said, it's not easy but is it all worth it....YES! There comes a time that you realize what comes first is your happiness, keeping a home and raising your child to the best of your ability. Whatever comes in between that can not affect how happy you are and how happy you deserve to be!!!!! Matt - I love you!!!!! No matter what comes our way.....I will always love you! XOXOX!

First trip to the beach - not a huge success!

Today was Peyton's first trip to the beach. We went to Short Beach (across the river from our house). It was a very nice beach - Mommy and Daddy fell in love with it and plan on making many trips there. Peyton however decided she didn't care it was Father's Day and she was going to be cranky anyway! She didn't like the sand, she didn't like the water, maybe she didn't like the way Mommy looked in her new bikini - but we didn't stay long! Like always, Mommy is in NOOOOOOO pictures - UGH!

A gift for Daddy

Peyton came home with a perfectly wrapped gift for Daddy on Friday but we wouldn't let him open it until today. She was so excited to give him the gift she made in school! It is a t-shirt that says "My daughter walks all over me" with her foot prints all up the back - FITTING ISN'T IT!!! Sorry the pics are so HORRIBLE but Peyton is a bull in a china shop lately!

Happy Father's Day!

Today is Matts 2nd Father's Day! He is the best Daddy to Peyton and she just adores him! She recently started to say Daddy instead of Dada and she SCREAMS it! Today we are planning on going to the beach for the first time....will post some pics later! Happy Father's Day to everyone!

ABC .... It's easy as .... 123!

I bought Peyton ABC's for the fridge and she is obsessed with them! She just can't quite understand why they only stick on the fridge and not the walls, dog, etc! I tried to get some good pics (since I haven't shared in a few days) but this damn lack of sun is killing me! Here are the only two that came out decent.

Playdate with Maddie and Ella

Sunday we went to visit Anne, Bo, Maddie and Baby Ella! Peyton was a very cranky baby! But we all had fun. Maddie and Peyton ran around the backyard and played on the swing set, while Mommy and Anne had some much needed wine. It was a cloudy day so there aren't many good pics to share but we wanted to introduce Ella Rian! Our new baby cousin! Peyton was so excited (she wanted to squeeze her) She kept saying "baby" - very cute! She is the best baby and we wanted to eat her up!

Today was Aunt Suzi's Baby Shower!!!! We had so much fun (even though Peyton thought the party was for her) Aunt Suzi got so many great gifts and a MILLION outfits. He will be the best dressed kid ever. We really had a great time and hope Aunt Suzi did too. Here are some details of the shower!

Another Hot One!

On Saturday Peyton and I went shopping for last minute things for Suzi's shower. Peyton had the hiccups in Old Navy and she had everyone laughing. Peyton was in a great mood all weekend....dancing, talking and laughing!
